BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT: PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Do not consume caffeine, alcohol, or blood thinning medications/supplements 48 hours prior to your procedure.
Please note: NSAIDS (ibuprofen, aspirin), Caffeine, Alcohol, Pre-Workout, Anti-Inflammatories (ie Ginger, Turmeric), Niacin (Vitamin B3), Fish Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, and Hair/Skin/Nail Supplements are all known to thin blood. Going into a Microblading appointment or any tattoo appointment with thinned blood increases your risk of infection and further, could negatively impact the way that you heal.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning on your face the week of your procedure.
Discontinue Retin-A, Chemical and Laser Peels, microdermabrasions, Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), and any chemical exfoliant or “brightening” skin care products at least 6 weeks prior to your procedure.
Note: Once your eyebrows have fully healed, you should avoid using these products on/around the eyebrow area to prevent premature fading.
For 3 weeks prior to and 3 weeks after any Microblading procedure, avoid botox and fillers on the forehead, temple, and eye areas.
No brow waxing, tinting, threading, or plucking your eyebrows for 72 hours prior to your appointment.
Clients fighting a life-threatening illness that are currently undergoing aggressive treatments and or therapies will only be considered a microblading candidate on a case-by-case basis, and only with an overseeing physician’s note and approval.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please note: Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure, lasting anywhere between 1-2 years. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in loss of pigment, undesired results, and/or infection
Do not touch the healing pigmented area, as this can increase your risk of infection.
· Do not get your brows wet for 72 hours after procedure.
· Avoid sun exposure, saunas, swimming, and heavy sweating for 2 weeks.
· After 72 hours have passed, clean your brows by:
o Carefully wash your brows with warm water and a mild soap.
o DO NOT SCRUB.
o Only use clean fingertips.
o Dry the area by patting gently with a clean, sterile towel.
· After 72 hours have passed, apply a thin layer of aftercare healing balm (Aquaphor) with a clean cotton swab anytime your brows begin to feel dry, itchy, or start to peel/flake.
· Should your brows scab or be crusty, do NOT pick or peel. This can result in loss of pigment, undesired results, and increases your risk of infection.
· Do not use makeup near the eyebrow area for at least 10 days.
· Once the eyebrows are fully healed, use sunblock (SPF30) on the area to protect from sun fading.
· Products that contain glycolic, lactic, AHA and retinol acids may fade your pigment faster over time.
· DISCONTINUE YOUR AFTERCARE PRODUCT AND CONTACT A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
o Severe swelling
o Blistering
o Puss
o Excessive redness at the site
o Tenderness of the procedure site
o Red streaks from the brow to your heart
o Elevated temperature/fever
o Any green/yellow discharge that is foul in odor
WHAT IS NORMAL
- Mild swelling, itching, light scabbing, light bruising, and dry tightness can be normal for the first few days. Remember, your new brows are open wounds. Ice packs are a nice relief.
- Too dark, too light, or a slightly uneven appearance can occur. In 2-7 days the darkness will fade and once swelling dissipates, unevenness usually disappears. If they are not to your satisfaction, the touch up appointment is very important and changes can be made once healed.
- A touch up appointment is required within 6-8 weeks of initial procedure, and then again every 6-12 months for maintenance. Failure to return within required touch up time frames will reset the existing client to a new client.
It is each client’s responsibility to book their touchup appointment(s) within the required touchup time frames to maintain existing client status.
